Brett Romberg

Director of Culinary Operations

Brett is responsible for acting as a liaison between the USE Commissary and external businesses, leading the charge on planning and coordination efforts, ongoing Quality Assurance and new business implementation. Brett is a key member of our new opening team providing support and guidance to our onsite culinary teams. Brett graduated from University of Michigan with a degree in English and then got his Masters degree in Gastronomy from the Apicius International School of Hospitality in Florence, Italy. In pursuit of more experience and education, Brett moved to Taiwan to work in the only Michelin Star restaurant in Taipei. After working in a variety chef roles including Marea in NYC, Brett accepted an offer with Union Square Hospitality Group as Senior Culinary Manager in 2016. After five years, he progressed to his current role as Associate Director of Operations. When not at work, Brett enjoys reading, cooking and riding his bike throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.
